Hard punching WBA Interim Jr. Welterweight Champion Marcos Maidana (29-1 27KOS) got all he could handle from the very game DeMarcus Corley (37-14 22KOS) in a give in tuck affair in front of Maidana's home turf of Buenos Aires. Before the fight Corley stated he was not afraid to trade
with Maidana, and he did just that and made this fight a very fan
friendly one in the process.....

Former WBO Jr. Welterweight Champion Demarcus “Chop Chop”
Corley (37-13-1, 22 KOs)
returns to the ring this Saturday against the hard hitting WBA interim Champion
Marcos Maidana(28-1, 27 KOs)
at Luna Park in Buenos Aires, Argentina on
August 28. Corley will be the underdog and in hostile territory as he attempts
to make a statement that he is still a serious threat in a division he has been
a champion in. Despite the underdog status, Corley remains confident that he
will be victorious on Saturday. “George this ain’t nothing new for me. I know...........

Chip Mitchell: Corley will challenge Marcos Maidana for the
WBC Interim Super Lightweight Championship of the World. The bout will
take place August 28,
2010 in Buenos Aires, Argentina.
Chip Mitchell: You just
won your last fight against Damian Fuller at The Patriot Center in
Fairfax, VA. Congrats on your victory and how do you feel about your
performance?
Chop Corley: I feel great about my
performance. I should have started earlier. In the first round, we were
feeling each other out. I could have pushed the fight and got it over in
the second or third round if I would have started earlier in the first
round..
Former Jr. Welterweight Champion DeMarcus "Chop Chop" Corley(37-13-1 22KOS) picked up another knockout win by stopping Damian Fuller (30-8 14KOS) in the 4th round of their bout at George Mason Unviversity's Patriot Center. The fight was entertaining throughout as both men wasted little time getting to know each other. Midway into the 4th, Corley drilled Fuller with a series of hard shots that sent Fuller to the canvas. Corley finished strong staggering Fuller with flush shots until the referee William Johnson stepped in to stop a helpless Fuller who was getting drilled against the ropes. The win sets up bigger fights for the former champion who vows to remain a threat in the 140 lb division. "Like I told you last week George, I was taking care of biz and then after that anybody else in the 140 lb Division can get it too. I'm gonna show everybody that Chop Chop is still a threat to anybody at 140lbs!" said Corley. Stay Tuned Fight Fans.....
