Mosley vs Mora September 18th at The Staples Center

By George Cotton Jr

It looks like Future Hall of Famer and former 3 Division Champion "Sugar" Shane Mosley(46-6 39 KOS) is looking to put his May 1st loss against Floyd Mayweather Jr. behind him rather quickly as he is slated to take on former Contender Reality show star and former WBC 154 lb Champion Sergio “The Latin Snake” Mora (21-1-1 6KOS) on September 18th at Los Angeles Staples Center. Both are Southern California natives and this has the makings of a good fight. The most compelling thing is how Mosley will respond after his tough loss at the hands of the Money Man and also that Mora has a victory over former Mosley conqueror Vernon Forrest. Mora has a size advantage and Mosley will be moving up to face Mora who has fought as high as middleweight. Mora has been wanting a big fight for the past few years and now has it. Interesting to see how this one turns out. This one should be a good one. Mosley-Mora will feature an undercard including popular Mexico fighter Saul Alvarez and possibly Oxnard's junior-welterweight Victor Ortiz, Mosley’s promoter Richard Schaefer said.

By John Cunningham

Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (42-0-1), showed glympse of his father  tonight by defeating John Duddy (29-2), for the vacant WBC Silver middleweight title at the Alamodome, in San Antonio, Texas.  The bout started off close in the early rounds, as Chavez displayed his boxing skills early, while Duddy tried to make his way inside.  As the fight went on, Chavez chose to throw the outside game out the window and began to fight on the inside with Duddy.  Both fighters landed solid shots, but it was Chavez who seemed to have the harder punches.   In the later rounds, Chavez............
